See this? This is a pattern written by someone who doesn’t believe in test knitting. Normally this would just make me disappointed, but there were corrections when I printed out the pattern. Now there are more. More that mean I had to rip out the entire right front, representing at least two weeks of work. (See Giant Ball of Anger, above.)
It’s a nice sweater. I’d like to wear this sweater. But at this point I’d also like to rip out the back and knit something that just works. (Maybe something that’s not just laying around free on the web. I’ve had good luck before, but it’s not like I can go demand my money back when something free does turn out to be crap.)
