Been watching a lot of the Muppet Show thanks to Blockbuster Online. Brings back a lot of memories. I mentioned something about the laugh track, and Aaron stopped, shocked.
”But it’s filmed in front of a live audience!” he said. Of course, as an adult, he realizes that the collection of muppets in the “audience” weren’t actually live, or even watching. But the childhood association is so strong, he still can’t overcome that cognitive dissonance.
I continued watching. “Silly Aaron,” I thought, “thinking that the Muppet Show was really live.” Then Dr. Teeth’s band came on, and I was once again amazed at how well a bunch of puppets could play.
Also, new job, but that’s not nearly as interesting. Oh, wait, kind of it is. I like my new job. I have a pretty strong case of imposter syndrome, but that’s nothing new, and today my boss complimented me on my last project, so either he’s a big fat liar or I am doing a good job.
Also, I have a secret new project! Double projects, actually! Only one of them is secret, though. And the second, which is setting up CVS, is in support of it. Also, something I’ll be doing at work, so why not set it up at home to help with said super-secret project? So soon I shall be a CVS expert and have a shiny new project to boot. Hooray!
(Isn’t it always more fun to start new things than to continue boring old ones?)
